Sounding Brass or Tinkling Cymbal?
Hi guys!
Told you I'll be back soon didn't I?
How did you enjoy the weekend? My friends and i went to see 'wives on strike' after my exam and it was really cool so I didn't have to stay at home this weekend😊..you should see the movie too, thank me later.
Unto the main issue..
So you guys know those people that can talk and talk till Jesus comes, the same people that give themselves unnecessary hype, they tell you that they are doing this and that but you never really see anything? All you see is their mouth moving so much that you just want to stuff a pillow in it.
They will tell you that they have this 'parole' here and there, sometimes they even go ahead to put some 'special' effects to make it very convincing, they're the ones that put 'CEO' as their display names on Twitter and In their bio on Facebook and instagram and then you begin to wonder what exactly are they chief executives of?
It's one thing to SAY and then it's another thing to actually DO what you had earlier said.
"Action speaks louder than words but nearly as often" -Mark Twain
A lot of people these days are just motormouths and noisemakers. You have a plan, okay cool so why not just put it to action quietly and let your success make all the noise?
Everybody has dreams and aspirations, and sometimes we want to tell someone about it because no man is an island of knowledge, this is totally normal but In my opinion, i'd say the fewer people you tell, the more realistic that dream becomes. Some people will even go as far as boasting of the things that they don't have yet and be raising unnecessary shoulders. They will talk to the extent that even the person who is supposed to help them actualize their dreams will get tired and just leave them there, so let's just say that they've talked away their destinies. Yes it's that serious.
Yeah, you've probably been told that you're good with words or that you have a way with words and then you decide to thrive on that, sorry to burst your cute bubble honey, but people only say that when something positive comes out from such talk otherwise talk alone is just cheap and does nothing.
When you keep saying the same thing over and over without nothing to show for it, it kinda gets old and boring.
Even the bible stated that if we don't see signs we won't believe so what exactly are you making noise about?
The twist here is that it's easier to call others out and point fingers but what happens when we're the sounding brass, the ones that need to be called out?
Many times we've carried ourselves about like 'a little pope' when in fact we're nothing but tinkling cymbals. At some point we've all said a little too much than we ought to when we should have simply let our actions speak for us. Now, it's too late to take those things back but remember that everyday is a second chance and it's up to us to make the most of it, so how about we start afresh? Less talking, more action?
Okay let's do this.
P.S - Thank you all for your good wishes, I'm really grateful, my exam was beautiful thank God, I haven't seen my results yet but I'm really hopeful that it'll be good #fingerscrossed
