Hi guys,

First of all, Let me apologise for not posting yesterday as I said, I was very busy and that made me tired which is why I couldn't post, Please accept my apologiesπŸ™ hope your week is going well?

So I said this post is basically to shed more light on the 30 days self love challenge which has already started even though I haven't paid too much attention to itπŸ™ˆ.
I discovered that quite a number of people are not content with who they are, they might make it seem like it but deep down they are not. This is why we tend to compare ourselves with others; we'll think to ourselves "if only I had her hair, eyes, shape, life,etc". what we fail to realize however, is that this kind of behaviour eventually reflects on the outside because we tend to sway from side to side looking for anything that will benefit our dream persona- this shouldn't be.

This challenge is divided into three (3) parts;

  1. Detox and Cleansing
  2. Appreciating 
  3. Growing 
Don't worry they're not as complicated as they seem. πŸ˜‰

  • Detox and Cleansing: In the first ten (10) days, we will develop a conscious awareness of those things that has been holding us back and all other limitations that we recognise and we will do away with them. These include letting go of past mistakes, learning to say no when necessary, stopping comparisons because you are the only One of your kind, there's no other person on this planet like you, putting an end to all toxic relationships, finding your happy place, filling your body with food and drink that will nourish it, allowing yourself to be human, make mistakes and don't beat yourself up about it and Connecting with your maker and getting closer to him.

  •  Appreciating: The next ten (10) days will comprise of an attitude of gratitude, understanding and appreciation of who you are in this present moment. These include; Starting the day by telling yourself something really positive ( I already have my own daily affirmation, you can come up with yours and say it to yourself everyday), Embracing and loving the things that make you different, treating others with love and respect, finding something to be grateful and thankful for everyday, celebrating your victories no matter how small they are, learning to love the skin that you're in, Pampering yourself ( go to spa, get yourself a gift, etc), do something that you're good at because this is a self esteem booster, give no thoughts to what others think about you and Have fun!

  • Growing: In the last ten (10) days, we will develop attitudes and skills that will help us become a better person. These include; Stepping outside of your comfort zone, Surrounding yourself with people who love and encourage you, Following your passion, Embracing patience and persistence, Getting creative, Reading a book that will inspire you,  Making a " what is working for me" list, Developing your confidence and writing your thoughts down.

I haven't done anything like this before but I want to give it a try and see how it is going to help me love and understand myself more, I mean we did say we should Step out of our comfort zone right?πŸ˜‰

During the course of this challenge, I will make sure I document as much as possible so that I will share my experience with you at the end. I do hope you can join me as well so that we can go on this journey of discovering the best version of ourselves.

I think the hardest thing about taking the time out to actually focus on working on yourself is that there are so many distractions and reasons for excuses. Great read. God bless.
