#MondayInspiration || Life Lessons From "Queen Of Katwe"

Image
Happy New Month Guys! I pray that all of our expectations will not be cut short in this month of April. Amen The first quarter of the year has ended wow!  If you were to look back and evaluate yourself based on how close you are to your dreams, how effectively and efficiently you worked towards achieving those dreams, how would you evaluate yourself? Probably, you didn't do as much? Not to worry you're not alone. Fortunately, today's #mondayinspiration is going to gear us up as usual into this second quarter and hopefully this time around, we'll nail it! I saw the movie ' Queen of Katwe ' yesterday and while watching it, I told myself I had to do a post on it. I learned a lot from that movie and I'll be sharing some life lessons from it. 1) There is Sense in Nonsense : We are so quick to write off certain situations that happens to us without even considering what good can come out of it. If you look deeply, you'd find a gem amidst that rub...

2016 in Review: 12 Lessons I Learned

Image
Hey Guys! Been a minute! I trust you guys are doing well? Can you believe we have just a day left in 2016? It's almost too good to be true. You all have to agree with me that even though we had a lot of downs this year, it is a blessing to be alive at this very moment. This year taught me a lot of lessons that I actually paid attention to, I guess the whole saying about getting older and wiser is true afterall. So for this post i would be sharing twelve (12) lessons that I learned this year and I hope that at the end of the post, you'd tell me yours too! In 2016 I learned... 1) To Be Thankful For Every Single Thing : We often take things for granted, without realizing that what we are failing to acknowledge is someone else's prayer request. 2) To Be Undoubtful : There were so many times I doubted that things will work out, but surprisingly they sorted themselves out. 3) To Let Go and Let God : This was a major lesson for me because, sometimes we fail to re...

Hey Lovelies! Happy New month! 2016 is gradually coming to an end, can you believe it? I pray that we shall all see the end of this year and enter into the new year by his grace. Welcome to another #Girlschat. Thank you for always keeping it a date with Danie and I, we really appreciate you guys. Now to the business of the day. If you're in Nigeria, I'm sure you would heard that media personality, Toke Makinwa recently launched her Book "On Becoming", I never really expected to get my hands on it fast as I did but I'm glad I was able to read it. "On Becoming" is one of those books that you read and you just want other people to know about it. For today's post, I decided to draw out a few lessons that I learned while reading. This book is what I call an awakening and honestly as girls/ladies/women, we need to stay woke! We owe ourselves that much. Here goes.. 1) Guard Your Heart Jealously : You know why? Because at the end if it goes ...

Image
Hello Queens πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘, Welcome to #Girlschatseries, as mentioned here, this is a collaboration series from Daniella and I, and it's going to run for a very long time I hope. So before I start my gist, I'd like to wish a very dear queen and an ardent reader of the blog a happy birthday. Happy Birthday Omorinsayo, may God make this year a wonderful one for you, we all love you😚 Now unto the topic of the day, While growing up, I wasn't really exposed, never really went out especially before i went to secondary school, and so me and boys were πŸ™…πŸ™…πŸ™…. But even then in primary school, we had people who "liked" each other and did some sort of exclusive stuff, I never really understood the whole concept though. Getting to secondary school (I went to a boarding school), I saw that the whole "boy-girl" relationship thing was very rampant, but I wasn't expecting it to reach my zone anytime soon-well it did. So i think probably in second or third term ...
