Girlschat series 13 || What is the Most Annoying Thing About Periods?

Image
Hey Lovelies! Welcome to another #Girlschat Thursday! I hope your day went well? Mine was good too thanks for asking😊 So today we will be talking about a rather interesting and important topic when it comes to us girls;  "period". I remember Danie's first Girlschat post was how to prepare for your period and she even shared a personal story about hers as well.   About a month ago or so, I saw a thread on Twitter and it addressed what the most annoying thing about your period was I just had to contribute So today I decided to bring it "home" and ask you beautiful ladies because I know that the "time of the month" is like the most annoying and painful thing ever. As usual, I asked a few ladies to know what theirs were and I could totally relate with some of them while others made me laugh πŸ˜†. Here goes... Similade said : My cramps. Jesus it's like they are snuffing life out of you. If labour pain is more than the pain I feel d

Readers Appreciation Post ♡♡

Hey Guys! How are you and How was your day? Awesome I hope? Mine was alright thank God. So you were probably expecting a #mondayinspiration post, yeah I'm very sorry because I wont be putting up one today because I have an exciting news that I want to share with you, so keep calm and enjoy. Guys this is my 100th post!!! Amazing right? I know. I would have said it seems just like yesterday since I wrote my first post, but to be honest, it feels like a really long time, lol. But this couldn't have happened without every single one of you who skims, scans and reads through the blog, those who like my posts on instagram, BBM, Facebook and all those who leave their comments on my social media accounts. You Guys are far too kind! Honestly, there's really no point if you're just writing if there's nobody reading or giving you the necessary feedback. It'll just be a total waste of time and energy. I must really say I'm blessed, because since I started b

Blogger Recognition Award

Image
Hey Guys! How are you doing? I hope the weekend is going well too? It's quite sad it's almost over, I mean can't we just have an extra day or something?😩 So earlier this week, I was nominated by Phebe of Thepurplejournal  for the blogger recognition award, and I really have to say that I was quite surprised and excited when I saw the tag. Yes people this is a big deal! Lol. In order for me to properly accept the award, I have to do this post, so sit back and have a nice read. *wink* Okay so there are a few things I must do. Here goes; Acknowledge the Blogger who Nominated You. Thank you Phebe  for the nomination, I truly am honoured. Give a Brief Story About How You Started Blogging. I actually started blogging because I wanted to improve my writing and I saw on Google that one of the ways to do that is by starting a blog. I was very clueless when I first started but I can say today that even though I'm not there yet, I'm not where I used to be

Girls Chat Series 12 || How Do You Handle Being Led On?

Image
Hey Queens! How y'all doing? I hope your week has been fab so far? I must say that I have had quite a week! I actually said to myself today "I wish I was still serving" lol at least I had a little time for myself now that's just history. Okay enough with the whyning, let's get to the business of today. To be honest, I had nothing planned for today's #Girlschat (yeah that's how bad it is) but then I watched Jenifa diaries! It's really amazing how you get inspiration from literally anything! So on today's episode, Jenifa got the shock of her life when she learned that Marcus had a wife. In her own church mind she and Marcus were a thing, at least he wasn't wearing a wedding band and he took her out to dinner, bought her stuffs and even said he enjoyed their "relationship". Now after accusing him of leading her on, he said he did no such thing, apparently he was just being nice ain't no crime in that or is there any? This

5 Life Hacks To Adopt In Our Daily Lives

Image
Hey Guys! How has your day been? Mine has been filled with a lot of activities hence the delay in today's post, but the good thing is it's here! I came across the Life Hack app a while back on my friend's phone, and I've been hooked since then. I realized that apart from all those other stuffs they tell you to do like removing pimples with toothpaste, there are a lot of other 'deep' stuffs there too. Okay so today's post is similar to the last Monday inspiration where I shared some Inspirational quotes . Today I'll be sharing five  (5) very important life hacks that we all need to adopt in our daily lives. 1) In reality this is quite difficult, but it all boils down to keeping a positive mindset about everything we go through in life. Complaining all the time doesn't make it go away, it allows it to constantly be present because you're always "poking" it by complaining. Adopting a more positive appproach towards whatever is

Event Recap || Style Scenery

Image
Hey Guys! Happy Sunday! I hope we're ready for a new week? Yeah i know, it was just Friday some minutes ago *sadface* I pray that this new week will be filled with all things good for us. This post is actually long overdue and that's why I had to write it today. Last weekend, Saturday precisely I went for an event that I was invited to and this is a recap of how it went down. After attending TBP's  brunch, I got a mail that said I was invited to attend "Style Scenery". I was quite excited because I had something to look forward to, and that explains my leaving calabar a day after my Passing out parade. But I digress. After reading through the whole meaning of style scenery I made up my mind that i was going to attend because a little networking never hurt nobody right? "STYLE SCENERY is a platform dedicated to bringing together entrepreneurs in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle sectors across Nigeria to a forum where they can meet, network an

Girlschat Series 11 || No Bra Day

Image
Hello Queens! ( and guys joining us) 😊 How has been your week so far? Productive I hope. Welcome to another Girlschat Thursday, thank you for sticking around with Danie and I, we love you guys. As we know, the month of October is the breast cancer awareness month, as a matter of fact, Danie  and Oyinlola of Hazyfantasies  are collaborating throughout this month to bring us different posts on breast cancer just so that we can be conscious and aware of this deadly disease and stay as far from it as possible. You can check their individual blogs for the posts!) Okay, so for those of us who didn't Know, apparently today October 13th is the "National No Bra Day " and it has been running since 2011. This is also an initiative of the breast cancer awareness where women are encouraged to free the boobs and also take a picture with the hashtag #nobraday, while also passing the message that breast cancer is deadly and early detection saves lives. (I recently just found

10 Inspirational Quotes To Live By Everyday

Image
Hey Guys! How was the weekend? Wonderful i hope? Mine was a little bit eventful because I came home finally and I attended an event, which I'll be putting up the recap pretty soon. Without wasting your time, for today's #mondayinspiration post, I have put together ten (10) inspirational quotes that we could actually fuse into our daily lives and remind ourselves with everyday. I have shared most of these quotes on instagram (are you following me? It's @mides_thoughts) but, I decided to put them all together and expantiate more on them. I hope this inspires you and help you get closer to achieving your dreams. 1) THINK BIG I remember when I put this up on instagram, someone commented "and different too" and i was like that's so true! The world has gone beyond the mediocre and complacent lifestyle. You need to have a wide imagination for you to be distinguished from the next person. When you broaden your horizon and develop a creative imagination, you'

Girlschat series 10 || The Strong, Determined And Independent Woman

Image
Hey ladies! How have you guys been? I for one can tell you that I've been so stressed which is one of the reason I missed last week's #Girlschatseries, but today I'm excited! If you follow me on any of my social media accounts, you would know that today is my Passing Out Parade! You guys wont believe that they stressed us till the very end😝 but all that is in the past now anyway. Okay enough about me. It's the 10th #Girlschat ladies! 😱 I sincerely want to thank every one that takes time from their busy schedule to read these posts, thank you for your time, patience, comments (I really love your comments!) and just for sticking around. God bless you! Okay after so many weeks of having fun on the series, I decided to add a little "inspiration" to today's post which is why we're talking about who a strong, determined and independent woman is. We've all heard different stories of how women have been sidelined on different occasions jus

7 Things That Make Me Feel Confident

Image
Hey Guys! How was the weekend? I'm sure a lot of people are so excited that today is a public holiday, I hope you're making the most of it though? Well there's no holiday per se for me because today is my final clearance, yes that's right. That NYSC thing that I dreaded for so long is finally coming to an end. *inserts victory dance*  Watch this space for deets about my NYSC diaries! Alrighty! For some of us that are very conversant with the blog, you'd remember that I did a Self Love Challenge in August, and I talked about how it was an amazing experience Here . Now this particular post is what I'll call an aftermath of that excercise. A lot of us are aware that from self love comes self confidence, self worth, self respect and just a great self esteem generally. Some of the books I read during the challenge really explained how important it is to build up your confidence as a person because it is one of the things that determine how successful you can be i
