#Mondayinspiration || 5 Toxic Behaviours To Let Go Of

As humans, we tend to exhibit certain behaviours to different situations in our lives. Just like we have the good and bad in life, we also have the positive and negative behavioural tendencies that people exhibit depending on the kind of situation they find themselves in.

Positive behaviours are most times evident when things seem to be going on pretty well, but as soon as things take a tough turn, hopes are dashed and the negative aura takes over.

In today's post we will be looking at some of those harmful behaviours that we need to let go of. Stay with me!

How was your weekend? Mine was wonderful.

Okay, let's move on...

1) Believing and Insisting That Life is Hard: There was a time in my life that I was always saying 'life is hard' sometimes as a joke though, but it slowly became something I got used to. One day I realized that this wasn't something to joke with at all, especially because where there's life, there's hope. I had to make a conscious effort to stop making that statement. We sometimes need to take a minute to see the light at the end of the tunnel and channel our energy towards that.

2) Procastination: This is one toxic behaviour God really needs to help us with, because it robs us of the time we should be spending doing something really productive, but instead we just keep lazying about and procrastinating. We need to let this one go!

3) Blaming Others: When there's a lot of bad energy circulating, people are always sad, moody, downcast, unproductive and always looking for something or someone to blame for their issues.  The thing about these kind of people is that they can easily influence others especially if you have a similar case yourself! I mean it's pretty easy to whine and cry all day about things not going as planned, but the strength is when you get up, go out and look for a way to change that. Quit blaming others for your problems. Own them and fix them!

4) Comparing Yourself With Others: Quit The Comparison! You're only giving yourself more headache. Rather than mope around and make a list of why you're here and the other person is there, strive to make yourself better and relevant as well. Whoever it is you're comparing yourself with did not get there by wasting time analysing why he/she was at a certain point, instead they moved! So move!

5) Doubt and Negativity: Truth is at the moment, it's quite easy to join the 'negative vibe squad' because a lot of things are going wrong and locating the silver lining is quite infeasible. However, the only way to keep the hope alive is to stay positive. You need to let go of Doubt and Negativity because they're very dangerous and toxic. Whatever you do, don't stop believing.

There you have it!

Over to You...

What other toxic behaviours do you think we need to let go of? I would love to know your thoughts.

Have a wonderful week ahead.

  2. I also say the "life is hard" thing as a joke and sometimes I dwell on it which doesn't lead to happy turnouts. Thanks for this post, it's a reality checker!!!
