#mondayinspiration || 12 LIFE LESSONS FROM ROMANS 12

Image
While I was still in secondary school (Hello BMJS fam!) , we had to memorize the book of Romans chapter 12 because it was like the school's official bible passage. I never actually got to know it completely, but I knew the first two verses, even at that, I never took it seriously. My point is that, this part of the bible is not new or strange to me, I've always been familiar with it. However last week, something took me to that part of the bible again, why? I cant really say, but as I began to study, I started to see that it was way deeper than we thought, no wonder they wanted us to know it by force! So for  today's post, I will be sharing 12 life  lessons from Romans 12. Stay with me... 1) Do Not Be Lazy : "Not slothful in business..." (Rom12:11a) Laziness will get you nowhere, you have no choice but to work and work hard. 2) Be Compassionate and Symphathetic: Kindness and Compassion will take you a long way. (Rom 12:15, 12:20) 3) Anything You...

Image
Welcome to a new week guys! Thank God for the past week, now it's time to crush some more goals starting from today! How was your weekend? Mine was amazing and I'm not even joking! All I can say is this God! πŸ™†πŸ™Œ Now let me ask you, what affirmations did you make this morning? What positivity did you speak into this week? What things did you remind yourself of? Oh, you didn't do any of these? You need to! During the weekend, in one of our devotions, my dad raised a question that struck me like literally, he asked "why is it that some youths won't be rich?" We all answered to the best of our abilities, but that question refused to leave me alone. It was then I realized that there are certain things we need to constantly remind ourselves of everyday that will then prompt us to action. Stay with me... 1) Remind Yourself That Laziness Is Not An Option : Laziness is the attribute of a sluggard and I'm pretty sure you're not one. Don't be id...

#Mondayinspiration || 10 THINGS TO LET GO FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Image
If there's anything I'm grateful for this year, it's knowing about the Youversion Bible app and the Common English Bible Version. You might be wondering why, well it's because one of my goals this year is to be closer to God on all levels, and the knowledge of these two has enhanced my spiritual growth a great deal. Funny thing is, I got to know about them through social media, so if you're still one of those that think social media is a bane to our existence, you better think again! If you're familiar with the Youversion app, then you'd know they're famous for their different bible plans that help you in your walk with God. "10 things to abandon for spiritual growth" is one of such plans. After completing this plan, I made up my mind to write a post on it and share it with you!  Don't worry I'm not about to go all pastor- mode on you guys, this is just to inspire and encourage you, because it's so relatable and helpful. H...

#MondayInspiration: 4 Reasons Why You Need A Great Support System

Image
While I was sitted in church yesterday, we had our quarterly sunday school preview and one of the topics had to do with helping and supporting others, with specific reference to Aaron and Hur as they lifted up moses's hand during the battle between the Isrealites and Amalekites. This singular act eventually led to the success on the part of the Israelites. ( Exodus 17 : 12) Now before then, I had already been thinking about writing on the importance of having a great support system in our lives and yesterday was a confirmation for me. So here we are! How was your weekend? Mine was very eventful😊 more details later in the week! Often times, we all like to put up a show of having it all together when we really don't. Truth is, it's okay to feel lost, helpless, confused and all those other emotions we dread but that is what makes you human. So, rather than make people think that you totally "got this" when you don't got nothing, let them know! Especial...
